The Japanese television company BS-TBS produced “Yoshida Rui’s Journey through Bars.” It introduced the audience to izakaya (Japanese bars) across Japan and was well received by the audience. Thanks to the popularity of the series, a spin-off for their female counterparts was introduced called “Women’s Journey through Bars.” In order to distinguish itself from the rough and masculine web site of the original, the new show adopted a female centered Japanese retro-modern style.
Japanese retro-modern: Northern Europe’s fashion combined with traditional Japanese colors to create a classic style with a modern touch.
